With the introduction of reliable and 24/7 DLP projection cubes in 2004, a new era started for broadcast backdrop solutions. Intertech Vision was the pioneer who introduced this technology to the broadcast industry. We managed to secure the first backdrop seamless video wall, which comprises the DLP projection cubes. We were awarded the first installation in the region for a backdrop seamless video wall at Dubai TV news studio. The outcome was overwhelming for us and other broadcasters, seeing what future studios would eventually look like.
Following that success, MBC, CNBC, Al Jazeera and others approached us to implement that solution in their studios. In this chapter, we will focus on our success story with MBC GROUP.
Between 2005 and 2021, we installed more than 20 backdrop video walls in the MBC group studios in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, combining superior products, professional installation, and unmatched 24/7 technical support. Over the years, we managed to meet MBC’s high standards, and as a result, they have been a loyal client of ours since 2005 and still counting.
With the introduction of the high resolution LED display and MBC Group being a leader in technology adaption, they started implementing LED video walls technology in their new studios in 2018. Inaugurated in March 2020, MBC Group’s flagship studio at Al Arabiya is one of the world’s state-of-the-art broadcast studios, the beauty of which you can watch from your home on the Al Arabiya Channel.
This success story’s moral is that we did not only manage to succeed in the control room display solution, but we also introduced to the broadcast industry in our region the concept of video wall technologies as a backdrop that dominated the market and, as a result, became the industry standard today.
