Virtual Reality

Working with industry leader Barco, Intertech has been able to create a cave automatic virtual environment, referred to as CAVE. This virtual environment allows up to four users at a time to collaborate within the space, enabling them to visualise their work in a 3-Dimensional manner.

CAVE systems benefit multiple industries by facilitating research and enhancing project workflows through the creation of immersive environments.

Each CAVE contains a variety of components. This primarily includes:

CAVE Systems

The components of the CAVE system create a seamless and interactive user experience. Multiple systems are also utilised to create a CAVE.

The tracking system employed accurately positions the user within the virtual environment, adjusting the projected image according to the user’s placement and orientation within the 3D model.

The 3D visualisation happens in real-time and can be amplified through an enhancement in computer graphics and an increased frame rate. Users are also able to navigate and alter a 3D model by using a controller.
